I have a weakness for vines growing on a building so when my wife recently dropped me right next to this one in Cold Spring I headed straight for it. Add the slightly weathered wood, the pastel yellow of the paint and the completely “out of kilter” doorstep (or maybe doorslab would be a more appropriate description) and what more could you want.

The funny thing is that the light fixture (or whatever it is) above the door is almost the same size, color and shape as the edit pins (e.g. for local adjustments) in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, which I use for post-processing. Thinking it was some kind of local adjustment that I’d added I tried to click on it edit, only to find that it wouldn’t respond. Took me a little while to figure out why. I guess my brain wasn’t working too well that day.
