We ended up on Storm King Mountain the other day. The views are quite spectacular, and I’m sure if we’d gone higher they would have been even better.

The first one (above) looks North over Bannerman’s (Polepel) Island and the Newburgh/Beacon Bridge.

The second looks South in the direction of Cold Spring.

The final one looks East in the direction of Breakneck Ridge. This is reputed to be one of the most difficult (if not the most difficult) hikes around here – more rock climbing than hiking. I don’t know this from experience because I haven’t tried it – and I don’t ever intend to.

Taken with a Sony Nex 5N and Sigma 30mm f2.8 EX DN.
