My cat was behaving strangely the other day. She was still jumping onto the bed; clamoring for her treats; eating well, so I wasn’t particularly concerned. But something was not quite right.

A little later I spotted a black “splodge” on the floor. At first, I didn’t know what it was, but as I got closer, I recognized a dead mouse. So, where’s the picture of the mouse? Well, even I have lines I will not cross. The last time she got one it was dead, but pretty much intact. So, when she got distracted and went for a drink, I was able to pick up by the tail and throw it outside.

This time was different. There was very little left to take a picture of. She’d clearly eaten most of it. What was left was pretty gruesome. Of course, I still had to dispose of it.

She’s not used to actually eating mice, so my theory is that she ate the mouse and it disagreed with her.

She seems to be back to normal now.
