I’m not usually very good at asking people if I can take their picture. But in this case I just couldn’t miss the wonderful beard. And having asked, I felt I had to ask his two companions too. They were all very gracious and allowed me to take the picture.

After the ceremony concluded I spotted this guy with his trumpet. He had played Taps during the ceremony. As a former trumpet player myself, I couldn’t resist taking his picture.
