At Pelton Pond
I’ve never actually seen a beaver in the wild, but there are signs of them all over the place. They seem to be very industrious little creatures. What amazes me is that they bring down trees that don’t seem to be very close to the water. Are they really going to find a way of dragging these sometimes fairly large, heavy trees some distance? Do organized groups of beavers come out, maybe at night, to combine their efforts?
At John Allen Pond. In this case they’ve taken down one of the trees with trail markers on it.
