We recently had some visitors – friends from France who we hadn’t seen for about 20 years. To brighten up the house my wife bought these roses.

Spring’s here!
It seems that Spring has finally arrived: the temperatures have risen; the ice has disappeared from the lake; we’ve had a few gorgeous warm, sunny days and the crocuses have started to appear!

Frozen wetland
Across from our house is a wetland area. While walking the dog I spotted this partly frozen area with dead twigs sticking out.
