Photographs and thoughts on photography and camera collecting
Playing around a bit here. This African wood sculpture stands in our dining room. It seemed to me that it was depicting dancers so I decided to try out a slow shutter speed to see if I could get some sense of movement. I find the result rather interesting.

We went for lunch at La Fonda del Sol near Grand Central Terminal in New York City. They served water in attractive bright orange glasses.

January 10 was our Wedding Anniversary so went into New York City for dinner and a show. Our train runs along the banks of the Hudson River and as we were travelling down the sun was setting over the other (west) side of the Hudson.
When I took the picture I knew that the camera would focus on the train window, but I let it do so to see what the result would be.
I rather like it.

View, from above, of one of my wife’s tulip vases (tulipieres). The different perspective gives it an almost abstract feel. Initially you’re not quite sure what it is.
