I was now feeling a little tired (from the walking) and hungry. It was also quite cold and very windy, so I decided to go somewhere warm and have something to eat. The Playwright Celtic Club was conveniently near to the theater where the show was being performed.

A friend and Historical Society colleague, invited me, and another common friend to Christmas dinner. Her son did the cooking. We all had a great time.

I went for lunch to one of my favorite riverfront restaurants yesterday: The Boathouse in Ossining, NY. It was a somewhat grim day, overcast and rainy. However, when we got to the restaurant the situation had changed. It was foggy, so foggy that you couldn’t see the other side of the river. There was no wind, and the water was like a mirror. It was foggy, but from time to time the sun would peep through. Then the fog would roll back in. Perfect for taking pictures. Unfortunately, for once I didn’t have a camera with me – except for my trusty old iPhone, which I used to take these pictures.

Inside Bibillé, the Korean restaurant I mentioned in last post. I had the Tofu bowl with pork. They asked if I wanted it spicy. I wasn’t sure how spicy it would be, so I asked for medium spicy. While it was fine, it wasn’t as spicy as I would have liked. I’m fond of spicy food so next time I’ll ask for it to be spicier.
I very much enjoyed the food, and the price was quite reasonable. I’ll definitely come again.

After my walk at the preserve, I was feeling hungry, so I stopped at DD’s diner, which was only a block away from where I emerged on Route 9. My one of my sons-in-law likes diners and seems to have a particular fondness for this one. I must say that I enjoyed my meal, possibly because I was so hungry.
