Roses in my garden
This is the first picture of a rose that I’ve posted since my late wife, Eirah passed away about a year and a half ago. She was the gardener in the family and loved roses. I neglected the garden for some time, but have recently had a fairly extensive cleanup done. I’m pleased to say that there are still about 36 roses in the garden. This is the first one to bloom. I have no idea what it’s name is.

I came across these blossoms while walking in a nearby woodland. I was attracted to the pastel hues.

Bluebells
Blue is my favorite color and I’ve always loved bluebells. I lived in a largely rural area of the UK when I was a child and loved to walk in the woods and the fields. You would often find huge carpets of bluebells in the woods at this time of year. In my woodland walks here in NY I haven’t come across such large numbers of them, but I have seen isolated groupings (probably blown from a garden somewhere) like this one.
