A rose in a bowl

The above picture combines two of my wife’s hobbies: roses and blue and white china. Even when a rose has broken off she finds a use for, as in this case where she’s placed it in a bowl of water. As of now – twelve days later – it’s still there and not looking too much the worse for wear.

Blue and White and Roses

My wife runs a Facebook group devoted to blue and white pottery. She also loves to grow roses and is an active participant in a number of groups related to them. From time to time she combines the two and then asks me to take pictures of the result.

Black and White Still Life

I wanted to get the roll off to be developed and I thought I only had a frame or two left. It turned out that rather than being a 24 exposure roll I had inserted a 36 exposure roll. So I had to fill the remaining frames with some shots around our house.
