Dog Statues
I came across these two dog statues on a street in Ossining, NY (I don’t remember which street).
They’re a little “cheesy” and something of a cliché. But aren’t they cute!? (especially the second one)

Pigeons-on-Hudson
Seagulls – yes, Mallards – yes, Canada Geese – yes, Cormorants – yes. But I hadn’t expected to see pigeons! Still, I guess they’ll go anywhere they can find something to eat.

Sitting by the Hudson
This guy seemed to be enjoying sitting by the Hudson. The wind was quite strong and as you can see, he was bundled up to keep warm. I also suspect that he was sleeping, because every so often his body would slide to the side and after a couple of seconds, he’d right himself

A Coffeeshop
I was going to have lunch at a restaurant on the Hudson River, but I was very early. To kill some time, I stopped for a coffee at this coffee shop on Main Street, Ossining. It’s called “First Village Coffee“. Now, I’m not much of a coffee connoisseur. If it’s hot, wet and vaguely coffee-tasting that’s usually good enough for me. However, judging by the number of people on line (it was packed) the coffee and food must have been good. Speaking of food, they have a great selection of baked goods. There’s limited seating inside, and more outside on the street. There’s also a small outside area at the rear.
All in all, a very pleasant place.
