I don’t think he was very happy about me taking his picture.

Photographs and thoughts on photography and camera collecting
I was going through some boxes and I came across these old pictures. So I quickly scanned them.
Above: Tübingen, Germany where I studied in the early 1970s.
Although I’m not entirely sure, I think the camera I used was a Minolta Hi-Matic 7sII. Great camera. I still have it.
During a recent walk I came across these gigantic skeletons. They’re truly huge, at least twice the height of a normal human being. I would not have been surprised if this was around Hallowe’en, but the picture was taken in May!! I guess they’re so big that it’s hard (maybe impossible) to take them down every year. So there they stand all year round.

I had a visitor staying with me a couple of weeks ago. We’d been out all day and were a little tired so we decided to go to a nearby Mexican Restaurant. It was fairly crowded and a particularly loud group of women was making a lot of noise.
We asked if we could relocate to another table and were told that the only available tables were outside. I didn’t even know that they had an outside seating area! Anyway off we went. It turned out that it was quite pleasant, and almost completely empty – just one couple and a couple of these colorful statues.
