I came across this stuffed animal in a restaurant bar in Jefferson Valley. Not something you see every day, nor is it in the best of taste. Frankly I’m amazed that someone hasn’t complained.

I’ve mentioned in earlier posts that my wife collects blue and white china and administers a Facebook group for lovers of such china.
From time to time she asks me to take a picture of some of it.

Blue and White on Snow
In other posts I’ve mentioned that my wife collects blue and white china. The other day we had a light snowfall, which melted fairly quickly, but which while it lasted left definite traces on the ground and the trees.
My wife liked the way this group of blue and white china looked against the snow covered branches outside and enlisted me to take a picture (her attempts with her iphone had not turned out too well).
So here it is.

A blast from the past
We recently went to a party at a neighbors. She has a lovely house: big, situated on a large property adjoining a lake. The basement in particular caught my attention.
It has wood paneling, plaid carpets and a bar and doesn’t seem to have changed much since the 1950s.
