Ugly Structures revisited

About a month ago I posted about a couple of not particularly attractive structures near where I live (See: Around the Neighborhood – Ugly structures). I recently passed by the same area and one of them was in the process of being removed. I believe that old water tower is being removed because it is so longer needed (and has probably been not needed for some time). I imagine it was only being kept because of the antennae on top of it. I guess the new one now fulfils that role. Unfortunately, I find the new one to be particularly offensive. I don’t like the way it’s pretending to be a tree.

Green on Yellow

Stalk of grass. As I was walking across the parking lot of a nearby supermarket I noticed that the numerous street lights all had a bright yellow concrete base. A small, green stalk of grass was growing next to one of them. Yet another reminder that there are pictures everywhere.

Still more New York City pictures

A few pictures taken while walking from one destination in New York City to Another. Above: Blue bicycles.

Skyscrapers. I liked all the different shapes and lines.

Abstract composition in an iron girder?

Street people. I don’t usually take pictures of street people, but there were so many of them along this one block near St. Patrick’s Cathedral. I found myself wondering why they were there?
